Presidential Spokesman Bassam Radi announced that President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi was informed of the latest developments in the situation on the Sudanese-Ethiopian borders.
The spokesman explained that Sisi met with a member of the Sudanese Transitional Sovereignty Council, Shams El Din Kabbashi, who visited Egypt at the head of a high-ranking Sudanese delegation.
The meeting dealt with the relations between the two sides, means of advancing them in all fields, and current regional issues.
Al-Sisi emphasized that Egypt’s position towards Sudan stems from the historical interconnectedness between the people of the Nile Valley, a position that has not and will not change under any circumstances, and as long as it represented a consistent approach to Egyptian policy over time.
