She burst onto the scene with her long raven-colored tresses as she angrily and intensely sung on the smash hit music video for debut single You Oughta Know in 1995.
And things certainly have unironically changed for Alanis Morissette.Â
The 47-year-old Canadian singer looked unrecognizable as she showed off her new blonde bombshell hairdo during an appearance on Today early Thursday morning.

She was not only interviewed on the news and talk morning television show but also performed her classic song Ironic during the Zoom appearance.Â
As Alanis had platinum blonde locks and a swipe of ruby red lipstick she did look considerably different from one of her last live concert performances at the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London on March 4, 2020.
Host Hoda Kotb was shocked by the star’s different look as she asked how long the singer has been blonde.

Alanis responded: ‘Oh I don’t even know, I’m post-partum so it’s been a couple of months I have no idea. I think everyone played with their hair during the pandemic time because we were all slightly insular’

This comes amid news that the talented star has unveiled new tour dates for her 2021-2022 world tour to celebrate the 25th anniversary of her iconic Jagged Little Pill album which was released on June 13, 1995.

The first date of the original tour was scheduled to be on June 20, 2020 in Portland, Oregon.
However now the tour will begin at the  Germania Insurance Amphitheater in Austin, Texas on August 12, 2021 with dates throughout the world before finishing up in 2022 with two shows in Manila, Philippines on November 18 and 19.
The tour is set to feature plenty of nostalgia as the special guests joining Alanis are Garbage and Liz Phair.
Jagged Little Pill was both a critical and commercial success as it topped the charts in 13 different countries with sales over 33 million copies worldwide and is one of the top 15 selling albums of all-time.
