Alejandro Murat presents his book “More of Oaxaca in the World, the bases of the Interoceanic Corridor” at the FIL Guadalajara

Guadalajara, Jalisco, on December 03, 2022.- Within the framework of the 2022 Guadalajara International Book Fair, and three days after completing his work at the head of the Government of Oaxaca, Alejandro Murat Hinojosa presented, before an audience of more than a hundred people, his first book under the seal from the Planeta publishing house, which is entitled “More of Oaxaca in the World, the bases of the Interoceanic Corridor”.

At the book presentation, Murat Hinojosa, who is a Master of Law and International Relations from Columbia University, NY, was accompanied by the writer and journalist Julio Patán, with whom he discussed why Oaxaca is the main actor in the resurgence of the Interoceanic Corridor project that, for more than 100 years, has sought to unite the Atlantic and Pacific oceans through the Isthmus of Tehuantepec with port, road and rail infrastructure, to turn this region of Mexico into one of the logistics and commercial centers Most important in the world.

“The Isthmus of Tehuantepec is called to be the most important value-added logistics corridor in the world. That is why from Oaxaca we work to make that happen. Furthermore, it is coming true at a time when globalization is shifting towards the nearshoring, integrating regional production chains and we are in an unbeatable region for that, since we are neighbors of the largest market in the world”, said Alejandro Murat.

In the book, the former Oaxacan president also explains the strategies that allowed him to project the cultural and natural greatness of Oaxaca to the rest of the world to put the entity in vogue, attracting investment, tourism and turning it into one of the most avant-garde hubs on issues such as sustainable architecture and clean energy, with sustained growth that can be seen in all sectors and socioeconomic levels.

Alejandro Murat took advantage of his visit to the fairgrounds to learn about the editorial and cultural offer from around the world that the FIL of Guadalajara brings together, one of the two most important literary events in the world, according to experts.
