Artist Alexandra Grant has publicly denied rumors that she and her partner, actor Keanu Reeves, have married.
In an Instagram post on Thursday, Grant shared a photograph of the couple kissing at James Turrell’s Roden Crater in northern Arizona to clarify their relationship status amid online speculation.
“‘Thank you to everyone for the congratulations on our wedding. Except we didn’t get married,” Grant wrote in the caption. She explained the image was “a real photo” and “not an engagement photo or an AI wedding announcement,” cautioning followers about misinformation. “Good news is much needed these days, but it’s still fake news, so be careful out there! So, here’s a bit of real happiness!”
The photo was taken while Reeves and his Arch Motorcycle co-founder, Gard Hollinger, were at the location interviewing Turrell for their docuseries, “Visionaries.” The series follows the business partners as they meet with various creative professionals for design inspiration.
Reeves and Grant made their public debut as a couple in 2019, though their professional collaboration dates back to the 2011 book “Ode to Happiness,” for which Reeves wrote the text and Grant provided the illustrations.
In a recent interview with People magazine, Grant spoke about the positive influence the relationship has had on her art. “We’re expressing from where we are and certainly feeling happier,” she said. “I think the work is happier.”
