The Secretary-General of the General Union of Algerian Workers, Mr. Labatsheh Slim, announced that the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, had promised to pay the wages of workers affected by Corona.
After his meeting with President Tebboune, he added, “We discussed issues of concern to the nation, including economic and social issues.”
He continued, “We talked about the need to create an appropriate climate to liberate energies and initiatives to allow managers and economic dealers to give a new pace of development and the national economy.”
He added, “We noticed that there is a kind of stagnation on the economic side, and we saw that there are some pending files in some institutions and departments.”
On the social side, he said to Abatsheh: “In addition to the accumulations of the previous decade, we witnessed a white year due to paralyzing sectors and economic activities during Corona.”
He emphasized that thanks to the tremendous efforts, work positions and economic companies were protected, adding: “But at the same time, some companies lagged behind, losing some positions and workers’ wages.
He said, “We raised this problem to the president of the republic, and he is fully prepared to accompany us with banks and some institutions in order to pay the workers’ wages.”
