Aliyev added, during a meeting with a Turkish delegation headed by Defense Minister Hulusi Akar, “Parallel to this, we attach great importance to forming a corridor between Azerbaijan, Armenia and Turkey, and preliminary instructions have been issued regarding this. In the coming days, we will start building a railway from Horadiz to Zanjilan.” The technical economic basis for this is already being prepared. “
“It will take two years to build the railway,” he said.
The President of Azerbaijan added, “But our idea is not to wait for these deadlines. Goods can be transported to Horadze by rail, then by heavy trucks. This is a very important issue on the agenda. I think and I am sure that we can send the first goods through the territory of Azerbaijan.” And Armenia and Nakhchivan, to Turkey and also in the opposite direction, and thus the Nakhchivan Corridor will be opened, which is an important part of the tripartite statement signed on November 10.
