Gazebo Redes, operator of the Red Compartida of wholesale telecommunications services, said it had reached 5 million active users in mid-December 2021.
Salvador Alvarez, CEO of Altán Redes, said that this figure represents “a very positive signal from customers and end users” towards the Shared Network.
Álvarez highlighted that the company went from 200,000 users in December 2019 to 5 million in December 2021, a sustained growth that responds to a very dynamic virtual mobile operator market and a greater need for connectivity.
The director of the company said that Altán Redes has 112 clients that offer 231 integrated services for 5 million end users throughout the country.
Of these, 1 million 163,496 users correspond to home Internet services and 3 million 839,044 mobility users.
At the national level, Altán Redes reaches 69.58% of the population with its own 4.5G coverage and the rest of the country through other available networks.
The company continues to advance with the social coverage plan and currently reaches 96,563 towns with less than 5,000 inhabitants.
