© Reuters. Amadeus issues 500 million in bonds to cancel the issue it made in February
Madrid, Jan 11 (.) .- The technology provider for the travel sector Amadeus (MC 🙂 has canceled in advance the 500 million euro bond that it issued last February and today, Tuesday, launched a new bond issue for the same amount for the payment of the early amortization of the one it is canceling.
As Amadeus reported this Tuesday to the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV), the company has exercised its right to amortize on February 18, 2022 the bond issued on February 9, 2021 (expiring on February 23, 2022). 2023) under its € 5,000 million fixed income securities issuance program.
Under this same program, Amadeus today issued a bond, admitted to trading on the Luxembourg Stock Exchange, for an amount of 500 million euros, with a maturity of two years, that is, on January 25, 2024.
Amadeus also has the option to redeem this new issue early within 373 days from the issue closing date, that is, February 2, 2023.
The interest rate of the new issue is a three-month Euribor variable plus 60 basis points (which is now being canceled was 65 basis points), payable quarterly and the issue price is 100.103% of its nominal value.
The disbursement and closing of the issue is scheduled for January 25, 2022.
Amadeus issued debt for 500 million euros in two-year bonds last February to meet its financing needs, after air transport went through its worst year in history due to covid-19.
The issue had a repurchase option by the company within one year and offered a variable interest rate of the Euribor for three months plus 0.65 percentage points, to be paid quarterly.
