Everyone knows the trials of spending hours waiting for a parcel to be delivered, only for it to arrive while you are not at home.
And one woman who missed her delivery was left in hysterics as she received a rather ‘sassy’ response from an Amazon worker.
Lucy Harrison, from Bristol, took to Twitter to reveal how she’d contacted Amazon customer services after she was told her parcel had been handed to a ‘receptionist’, despite the fact that she lives in a house, adding ‘LOL’ the end of her message.
But rather than replying that she would look into the matter, the customer services rep, named Abigail, simply replied with LOL herself.
People were left in stitches after Lucy shared the chat to Twitter on Monday, with many saying they wished more customer service workers replied with such ‘sass’.

The first message from Amazon worker Abigail read: ‘Good day. I’m Abigail. Am I chatting with Lucy Harrison?’
Keen to explain her issue, Lucy replied: ‘The Amazon app says the package was handed to a receptionist. I don’t have a receptionist I just live in a house lol’
To her amusement, Abigail simply replied to her query by writing ‘Lol’, which won praise from Lucy’s followers.
One person wrote: ‘If customer service reps did this instead of following a stupid script it would be so much more fun.’
The confused woman explained her issue to Amazon worker Abigail over their messaging service, who hilariously just responded with ‘lol’ to Lucy’s query
Hoards of Twitter users were desparate to find out what actually happened to the parcel, with Lucy revealing that her ‘receptionist’ turned out to be her garden hedge
A second shared their own delivery tale, saying: ‘Don’t worry our Hermes deliveries come to the flat reception and say they’ve been left in the Greenhouse…’
A third person said, ‘Abigail is funny tho. Well played’, while another quipped, ‘what a sassy queen. Abigail for PM’.

She hilariously explained: ‘Abigail proceeded to inform me that I actually do have a receptionist, in the form of a bush out front, so all ended well’
The revelation that the package had been left in her hedge led to a number of hysterical bush-themed puns from amused Twitter users.
One joked: ‘Are you the branch regional manager’
While another quipped: ‘This is the best character development arc I’ve seen in years, bushy the receptionist really deserves an award’

Lucy went on to share her admiration for the ‘sassy’ Amazon worker, saying she had ‘captured the pandemic mood’ with her abrupt message

Lucy went on to share her admiration for the Amazon worker, saying she had ‘captured the pandemic mood’ with her abrupt message.
She tweeted: ‘I honestly felt her so much though. Half my work emails I look at and just wanna ‘lol’ right back’
Lucy also addressed people criticising her for not ‘greeting’ Abigail in her message, insisting that they had both sent their messages at the exact same time.
She continued: ‘Muting this now bcos my phone is having a meltdown!! For anyone getting their knickers in a twist, I only didn’t greet Abigail because her message sent at the same time mine did.
‘She has clearly captured the pandemmy mood of the nation and for that we must Stan. Stay safe xo’
