The US State Department added in a statement that Blinken stressed the need to chart a path that enables the people of the Gaza Strip to rebuild their lives and achieve their aspirations.
The statement renewed the United States' commitment to reaching a diplomatic solution to the conflict between Lebanon and Israel that implements UN Security Council Resolution No. 1701.
On the other hand, the US Secretary of State thanked the State of Qatar for the decisive role it plays in mediation efforts and achieving lasting peace in the region.
For its part, Reuters indicated that yesterday, Thursday, Blinken had another call with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud regarding ending the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
The US State Department also stated that Blinken affirmed, in a call with the Israeli President, the United States’ commitment to Israel’s security.
The ministry explained that Blinken stressed the need to end the war in a way that alleviates the suffering of the Palestinian people. He also reiterated the urgent need to secure the release of hostages from Gaza and end the war.
