The rapper Young Dolph was shot dead outside a cookie store in Memphis (Tennessee) on Wednesday morning, according to local media. The 36-year-old musician was hit by bullets when he was leaving the commercial establishment. According to witnesses, a car stopped and was shot several times from one of the front windows.
A video posted on social media shows his vehicle parked a few steps from where he was shot and police cordoning off the place. The authorities have not confirmed if the musician was accompanied, as some versions point out.
In 2017, the rapper had been the victim of another attack with a weapon that left him several injuries, none seriously. Then, the musician, father of two children, attributed the attack to the “jealousy” that aroused his success in the music industry.
Dolph, whose real name is Adolf Robert Thornton, Jr, is known for songs like Majorand On the River. His first album King of Memphis It was released in 2016 and since then it has managed to add six more productions, all with great success in the rap industry. Several artists, such as fellow rapper and producer Quavo, have expressed sadness at the news of his murder. “Curse. This hurts. Rest in peace, Dolph ”, he wrote on his Twitter account.
