Upon his departure from the refinery, Francisco I. Madero, where he led a meeting to supervise the rehabilitation work at the Petróleos Mexicanos complex, this Sunday afternoon, the president reiterated that Governor Américo Villarreal has the full support of the Federal government.

Regarding the work at the Madero refinery, López Obrador indicated that “it is advancing and we are going to invest more,” he said.

“The Madero refinery that was stopped when we came to the government, now after investing 8 billion pesos, it is processing 105 thousand barrels of oil a day,” the president wrote on his social networks, after the work meeting.

“Governor Américo Villarreal accompanied me and I promised to return with the entire cabinet to further support the people of Tamaulipas,” he added in his publication.

Also present at the work meeting at the Madero refinery were the Secretary of Energy, Rocío Nahle, and the General Director of Pemex, Octavio Romero Oropeza.

For his part, Governor Américo Villarreal Anaya addressed the President of Mexico and assured that Tamaulipas will join with will and work to contribute to achieving peace with justice and equitable development for the benefit of the poorest.

After thanking the repeated expressions of support and affection received from the President of Mexico, Governor Américo Villarreal wished that this would be the first of many visits by López Obrador to Tamaulipas.
