The Duchess of Cambridge wowed in a new daisy-shaped pendant worth £9,000 in a romantic anniversary portrait with the Duke released to mark 10 years of marriage.

Kate Middleton, 39, and Prince William, 38, are celebrating their wedding anniversary today and shared a snap taken earlier this week at their home of Kensington Palace to mark the occasion.

The mother-of-three added a touch of glitz and glamour to her baby blue outfit with the striking Asprey necklace, which are a new addition to the royal’s jewellery collection – possibly an anniversary gift from William.

Kate looked elegant in the bohemian-style patterned Avery dress by HIgh Street brand Ghost, which cost £195 but is no longer in stock.

Kate Middleton, 39, donned a glittering diamond necklace by designer Asprey worth £9,000 today as she shared romantic photographs with Prince William to mark their 10th anniversary

Her glossy hair is styled into waves instead of the more formal dark curls she favoured early in their marriage, with her usual signature make-up look of brown eye shadow and a nude lip.

Her chic necklace by brand Asprey is described online as featuring a ‘quintessentially English Daisy’.

The glitzy jewel features diamond petals and a pavé diamond centre, set in 18c white gold.

The Duchess has previously been seen wearing a matching set of earrings with the necklace, which she debuted while touring Ireland last year.

Arriving in Dublin for her first official visit to the Republic of Ireland last March, Kate swept her hair back to reveal the dazzling £17,300 earrings.

She has been spotted wearing the designer’s pieces on several occasions in the past, including during her Wimbledon appearance earlier this summer.

The mother-of-three regularly wears the brand’s Oak Leaf Small Hoop earrings, selecting them on six different occasions last year alone.

To mark their tenth anniversary today, the Duke and Duchess released two stunning new portraits taken this week at Kensington Palace.

The photographs are glamorous and glossy, but nonetheless natural. Kate and William are pictured standing in the courtyard at their official Kensington Palace residence as well as sitting in the garden. In each, it is clear the couple have an easy, affectionate confidence with each other.

They are happy to be snapped holding hands – with Princess Diana’s famous sapphire and diamond engagement ring gleaming on Kate’s finger.

It may be their tenth anniversary but it is likely the couple will be doing the school run as normal today.

Aides say they insist their children – Prince George, seven, Princess Charlotte, who turns six on Sunday, and Prince Louis, three – come first.

Sources have said William is ‘extremely proud’ of the way his wife has adapted to the goldfish bowl of royal life.

‘She’s made the job her own and given him a beautiful family,’ a royal insider said. ‘They are a real team now.’

On 29 April 2011, Kate walked down the aisle at Westminster Abbey in a service that was performed by the then Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr Rowan Williams.
