An earthquake measuring 4.5 on the Richter scale struck the city of Skikda, located 500 km northeast of Algeria, at dawn on Thursday.
The Algerian Center for Research in Astronomy, Astrophysics and Geophysics stated that the quake occurred at 22:49 local time, and that its center was 3 kilometers northwest of the town of El-Haroush.
Also, an earthquake measuring 4 degrees on the Richter scale struck the state of Bejaia, east of Algeria, around nine o’clock on Wednesday night local time, and its epicenter was located at 30 km northeast of Ras Carbon.
On Wednesday afternoon, a violent earthquake of 3.4 magnitude shook the state of M’sila, 300 km southeast of the country.
The province of Batna, east of Algeria, witnessed two jolts of 4.2 and 3.2.
