The European Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC) announced that it recorded an earthquake measuring 5.5 on the Richter scale in northeastern Afghanistan.
He added, “The tremor was recorded late on Saturday evening, and its epicenter is located 42 km south of Gourm district in the Badakhshan region in the northeast of the country.”
He continued, “The tremor occurred at a depth of 185 kilometers.”
There was no information about casualties or damage due to the quake.
