Under the above heading, Sergey Valchenko wrote in “Moskovsky Komsomolets” about Kiev’s provocations to start a war in the Donbas, hoping to help Biden and deter Russia.
The article states: The military-political situation in southeast Ukraine is getting worse every day.
In response to the continuous bombardment of its lands by Ukrainian forces, the authorities of the Donetsk Republic, unilaterally declared, allowed the army to open pre-emptive or preemptive fire. The next step is war.
According to experts, the indirect sign that Kiev is fully preparing to solve the Donbas issue by military means is to cleanse the information field inside the country, by closing the opposition media, including TV channels, and “harmful” sites from Kiev’s point of view. To report from the front, Kiev only needs the “correct” media.
In this regard, “Moskovsky Komsomolets” met with political researcher and military expert Ivan Konovalov, and he said in answer to the following question:
Could the “South Ossetia option” be repeated in the Donbas? For example, when will Russia decide to help the people of Donbas, in response to Ukrainian provocations? There are, by the way, 600 thousand people with Russian citizenship?
This is a serious factor, which did not exist in 2014-2015. Now, there are a large number of Russian citizens. This, of course, forces Americans to consider their options more carefully. This is a deterrent factor for Washington when deciding whether or not to support Kiev’s military provocations.
There are politicians in the United States who realize that the presence of a large number of Russian citizens in the conflict zone gives Russia the right to decide which scenario should be used in the event of a worsening situation, when it comes to the lives of its citizens.
Americans will not be able to object to that. They themselves send aircraft carriers anywhere in the world, if a single American citizen is endangered.
