The special assistant to the speaker of the Iranian Shura Council, Hussein Amir Abd al-Lahyan, announced that the late commander of the “Quds Force” Qassem Soleimani had warned of a great danger posed by the alleged plans to “divide Saudi Arabia”.
In an interview with the Al-Mayadeen channel on Tuesday, Abd al-Lahyan said that Soleimani played a prominent role in efforts to establish security, confront terrorism and support resistance in the region, describing this as a “strategic matter that will continue.” Last January, he was not only “a brave person who does not get tired or tired, but he also had distinguished diplomatic characteristics.”
The assistant speaker of the Iranian parliament held Saudi Arabia responsible for “supporting takfirist terrorism in the region and rapprochement with America and Israel,” noting that Soleimani despite this and the hostility of some Saudi leaders towards him “was concerned about the risk of splitting the kingdom.”
Abd al-Lahian added that Soleimani expressed his concern in several conversations about the many projects that the United States and Israel had put in place in an effort to “partition Islamic countries” such as Iraq, Syria, Egypt, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Yemen and Iran.
He added, “Soleimani used to say that dividing Saudi Arabia would pose a threat to the Islamic world as much as the partition and division of Syria and Iraq.”
And Abd al-Lahian sent a letter to the Saudi government in which he said: “The Kingdom will not gain anything from the rapprochement with the Zionist entity, except for insecurity.”
