A police timeline can be revealed which details TV host Andrew O’Keefe’s alleged assault on his doctor girlfriend on Saturday evening.
A charge sheet obtained by Daily Mail Australia revealed that O’Keefe is accused of assaulting haemotologist Dr Orly Lavee between 11pm and 11.30pm on Saturday.
That is an hour-and-a-half before NSW Police officers from the Eastern Beaches Police Area Command arrived at Dr Lavee’s Randwick unit, about 1am, following an alleged commotion.
O’Keefe was then picked up on a nearby street about 3.30am, according to a police statement, when the outgoing host of afternoon game show The Chase was taken to Maroubra Police Station.
It wasn’t until 9.41am when the common assault (domestic violence) charge was laid against O’Keefe in the official police system – suggesting a long night.

At some point afterwards, O’Keefe was reportedly hospitalised, although it is not clear what for.
A representative has told News Corp that O’Keefe will fight the charge.
The revelations come as Daily Mail Australia revealed O’Keefe had turned to Buddhist-style silent meditation in his bid to fight his demons over the past year-and-a-half.
‘He was eager to fix himself,’ an industry insider said, adding: ‘He was quite open about (the silent retreat) at Seven.’
He has also put himself into rehab on several occasions, leading to delays in the filming of his popular game show.
TV industry sources confirmed that O’Keefe was dumped from The Chase at the end of last year, about November. His contract expired but was not renewed, although Seven staff were vague about his future until this week, when a spokeswoman confirmed he was ‘no longer’ with the network.
The 49-year-old father-of-three’s recent troubles have been well-documented. O’Keefe himself has even drawn parallels between his own issues and his rockstar uncle Johnny O’Keefe, who died of an accidental drug overdose at 43.
‘I’ve struggled a little bit in that regard lately I suppose,’ O’Keefe told his own network in a 2019 interview.
‘Life has thrown a few things at me that I wasn’t quite prepared for. I wasn’t quite as resilient as I imagined I’d be.’
He separated from wife Eleanor in 2017, was infamously pictured kissing a brunette during a night out in Tasmania in 2018, and divorced his partner in 2019.

O’Keefe has repeatedly taken leave from The Chase to fight ‘health issues’. On one occasion, his agent attributed his disappearance to ’emotional exhaustion’.
Just last year, O’Keefe said he was on right track. He filmed several episodes of his afternoon game show and stepped out with his new girlfriend.
A source said O’Keefe’s silent retreat occurred about 18 months ago.
‘I’m not the least ashamed to admit I’ve struggled at times over the last year with issues around my mental health, but thanks to the excellent support of friends, family and expert clinical practitioners, I’m in a very good place at the moment,’ O’Keefe said then.
O’Keefe will face Waverley Local Court on Thursday morning.
