The Libyan Ministry of Labor and the Egyptian Ministry of Manpower have agreed to facilitate procedures for the entry of Egyptian workers to Libya.
The Libyan embassy in Cairo indicated via “Facebook” that “the meeting between the two sides, which was held in Cairo, concluded the need to implement the memorandum of cooperation signed between the two ministries in 2013 regarding the use of Egyptian labor in Libya.”
He added, “It was also stressed the need to start implementing the electronic link between the Libyan Ministry of Labor and its Egyptian counterpart, in order to provide an integrated database with data and information related to knowing the Libyan market’s needs for Egyptian labor.”
The meeting stressed “the importance of facilitating procedures and mechanisms for the entry of Egyptian workers in coordination with the Passports Authority through the ports between the two countries.”
It was agreed to form a joint permanent committee between the two ministries for this purpose, and to arrange for an Egyptian technical delegation to visit Libya to complete the rest of the technical arrangements.
