The Yemeni Houthi “Ansar Allah” group announced that it will not release the Saudi pilots captured by its forces until the Kingdom’s authorities release the “Palestinian prisoners” they are holding.
The head of the group’s Prisoners Affairs Committee, Abdul Qadir Al-Murtada, said in a televised statement he made on Wednesday, referring to detainees from the “Hamas” movement in Saudi Arabia, according to a previous accusation made by the leader of “Ansar Allah”, Abdul Malik Al-Houthi, to the Kingdom: “We assured the other party that The Saudi pilots will only get out of prison in exchange for the Palestinian prisoners in Saudi Arabia. “
Al-Murtada criticized the performance of the United Nations, saying that it “did not exert any pressure on the other party to persuade him to attend the prisoners’ negotiations, even though the Saudi party and the party representing the southern front agreed to attend.”
He added, “The UAE has hundreds of prisoners of the army and the popular committees (referring to the group’s fighters and the forces loyal to it) who were captured in the south or the coast.”
He continued, “In the event that the Emiratis do not attend the prisoners’ negotiations, we will consider the Saudi prisoners as prisoners of the coalition in general, and they will not be negotiated without the other side offering all of our prisoners to him.”
