Antonio Martínez Dagnino was appointed as the new head of the SAT to replace Raquel Buenrostro

Antonio Martinez Dagnino was appointed as the new head of the Tax Administration Service (SAT), replacing Raquel Buenrostro Sánchez, the Ministry of the Interior reported this Monday afternoon (Segob).

On the instructions of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, the head of Segob, Adam Augusto Lopez Hernandezgave office to the new head of the SAT, attached to the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit (SHCP).

Antonio Martínez Dagnino worked as head of the General Administration of Large Taxpayers of the SAT.

The official has experience in the Mexican Financial System, specifically in the analysis of derivative financial instruments, as well as in matters of supervision, regulation and auditing, Segob detailed in a statement.

In addition to working in the private sector and in the banking sector, Martínez Dagnino was deputy director of the area in the General Directorate of Financial Groups and Intermediaries of the National Banking and Securities Commission (CNBV), where he specialized in regulation of the financial system and created procedures for the supervision of capital and liquidity
of the institutions.

Last Friday, President López Obrador announced that the then head of the SAT Raquel Buenrostro would be the new head of the Ministry of Economy, after the departure of Tatiana Clouthier.
