Renowned naturalist David Attenborough will explore the wildlife of his home city in an upcoming BBC documentary, Wild London. After a career spent documenting nature across the globe, Attenborough, a London resident for 75 years, now turns his focus to the capital’s remarkable animal inhabitants.
The new one-hour film, set to air on BBC One and iPlayer, will showcase the surprising and often unseen lives of animals thriving in the urban environment. Viewers will be introduced to snakes on Regent’s Canal, parakeets in city parks, and a family of foxes in Tottenham.
The documentary also promises to feature beavers building a home next to a busy shopping centre and a pair of peregrine falcons nesting on the Houses of Parliament. A broadcast date for Wild London has not yet been announced.
