The Iraqi National Security Adviser, Qassem Al-Araji, confirmed today, Thursday, that Al-Hol camp in Syria is a time bomb for the presence of 20,000 Iraqi children.
Al-Araji said during his meeting with the US ambassador in Baghdad, Matthew Tueller, that “his country looks forward to the dialogue with Iraq not only on the security side, but also on the scientific, economic, cultural, and other fields as well.”
He added, “Iraq needs a final and practical solution to the issue of Al-Hol camp, with the participation of the international community, as it includes multiple nationalities, and all of them are terrorists.”
Al-Araji pointed out that “the continuation of the al-Hol camp as it is constitutes a time bomb, because there are 20,000 Iraqi children, between a child and a juvenile, and these will become ISIS militants who pose a threat to Iraq and the region, if not everyone unites to solve this problem that threatens the security of Iraq, the region and the world.” .
