The Bahraini government announced the postponement of the date of delivery of the scheduled shipment of the vaccine against the Corona virus, which was developed by the American “Pfizer” and the German “Biontech” company.
The Bahraini Ministry of Health confirmed in a statement published on Friday that the vaccine shipment that was scheduled to be received by the country in January will not arrive on the predetermined date and will be rescheduled, according to what the manufacturer reported according to its production and supply operations.
The Ministry stressed that this delay will not affect citizens and residents, who will receive the second dose of the “Pfizer” and “Biontech” vaccine in the coming period, according to the scheduled dates, given the availability of the required quantity for them.
The ministry indicated that “Pfizer” informed the importing countries of its vaccine that it is working to increase production “enough to cover requests from all countries of the world, provided that the required quantities are delivered at a later time.”
Pfizer previously announced multiple disruptions to its vaccine supplies in late January and early February, due to changes to manufacturing processes to boost production.
