‘Instagram famous’ baker Eloise Head has shared the recipe for her ‘chocolate box brownies’, made from simple supermarket ingredients and leftover sweets.
The 26-year-old, who is the founder of FitWaffle Kitchen, an Instagram page dedicated to decadent desserts that take just a few minutes to prepare, designed the recipe to use up bite-sized chocolates uneaten over the festive season.
In a video uploaded on December 9, the self-taught chef from London – who has 837,000 followers across four Instagram accounts – shows viewers how to make the brownies from butter, sugar, eggs, flour, cocoa powder and whatever spare sweets are left in the pantry.
Ms Head, who shot to online stardom when a baking craze swept the globe during the first COVID lockdown, describes the brownies as ‘perfect for Christmas‘.
She says the recipe ‘works with any box of chocolates’ but advises against using toffee or hard caramel flavours to prevent the mixture from sticking to the tin while it cooks.

To make the brownies, Ms Head beats 250 grams of caster sugar with two large eggs and 170 grams of melted butter until the batter is light and fluffy.
Next, she adds 125 grams of melted milk chocolate and whisks for one minute, before folding in 100 grams of plain flour, 30 grams of cocoa powder and a teaspoon of salt.
Ms Head scoops half the mixture into a baking tray lined with grease-proof paper, spreading it out evenly, then arranges a layer of miniature chocolates on top.

She covers the chocolates with the remaining half of the brownie mixture and bakes it in the oven at 170 degrees Celsius for 25 minutes.
Once cooled, the brownies should be refrigerated for 24 hours and sliced the next day to achieve the cleanest cut between pieces.
Photos of the treats, which have amassed almost 11,500 likes since they were uploaded five days ago, have sparked delighted responses.
‘These look amazing,’ one woman replied.
‘Such a good idea,’ added a second.
Another tagged her friend and wrote: ‘Might have to make these next week.’
Dozens left lines of emojis with love hearts for eyes.
The brownies are the latest in a long line of quick and easy desserts from Ms Head, who previously told Daily Mail Australia she felt ‘very proud to help people keep occupied’ by sharing her recipes when social distancing laws forced billions to stay home around the world.

Among her most popular creations are a red velvet mug cake and Oreo cheesecake cookies made from five supermarket ingredients.
Ms Head whips up a batch of the indulgent treats from butter, cream cheese, granulated sugar, plain flour and a pack of the iconic chocolate biscuits.
She makes the cookies by hand without an electric mixer and says they are easy enough for anyone to do the same – even baking beginners.
‘If you love Oreos you need to try these – you don’t even need eggs,’ she wrote in the caption.

To make the cookie dough, Ms Head whisks 115 grams of unsalted butter with 115 grams of cream cheese until the texture becomes light and fluffy.
Then she adds 200 grams of sugar followed by 120 grams of flour in thirds, gently folding in until just combined.
Next, Ms Head mixes broken Oreos into the dough before leaving the mixture to set in the fridge for roughly one hour.
Once the dough has hardened, she scoops about a teaspoon of the mixture onto a greased baking tray then bakes in the oven at 160 degrees Celsius for 10 to 12 minutes.

Photos of the treats have drawn dozens of delighted responses since they were uploaded last week, with some followers declaring them Ms Head’s ‘best dessert yet’.
‘Oh my god, my diet is now NOT starting today,’ one woman wrote.
‘It’s now midnight where I am and I just finished eating. But now, I think I want to make some cookies,’ added another.
A third called them her ‘favourite things to make’.
