The general director of the Banco del Bienestar, Víctor Lamoyi, reported that on January 14, it was decided to cancel the multi-year contract for administrative services for the processing of banking operations and transactions, for an amount of 18,313 million pesos, which was formalized in October 2021.
In a brief press conference, within the framework of a work tour of the states of Mexico and Morelos, the official explained that said contract was formalized in October 2021, but on December 21 of that same year it was decided to start the rescission procedure, in accordance with the regulations on acquisitions.
At the time, this contract was questioned.
“On January 14, 2022, the formal termination of the contract was resolved and the bank notified the decision to the National Banking and Securities Commission (CNBV)”.
He stressed that the priorities of this development bank are: to put into operation the new branches and accelerate the institution’s expansion process, in addition to incorporating the population that still does not have banking services into the financial system; responsibly manage the bank’s assets, and carry out management in accordance with the republican austerity law.
During his visit to municipalities in the states of Mexico and Morelos, Lamoyi verified the correct operation of all the systems, including the ATMs of the branches that are already serving the population in their test stage, prior to the inauguration.
At the event, he was accompanied by Jessica Solano, head of social banking, and Adrián Simón, head of the Priority Works Coordination Center of the Ministry of National Defense (Sedena).
