Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman has expressed his dissatisfaction with his team’s loss, 1-4 at home to Paris Saint-Germain, in the first leg of the Champions League final.
“Paris Saint-Germain surpassed us, and they had a lot of effectiveness, especially (their attacker) Mbappe,” who scored three goals, Koeman said during statements highlighted by the Spanish newspaper, Marca.

He added: “In the first half, after we scored with a goal, Dembele (Barcelona winger) had a clear chance to score the second, but he missed it, and in the second half we faced defensive problems and the St Germain players outperformed us, and above all in the physical side.”

He continued: “We have to admit that they surpassed us, especially in the second half, and have a more complete team than us, and we must accept that and continue to improve, and we know that we can do that.”
After talking about the technical difference, the Dutch coach doubted that Barcelona had an opportunity to make an uprising in the second leg in Paris on March 10, as did his predecessor Luis Enrique in 2017, when he led Barca to compensate for his 0-4 loss in the first leg against the French champion by winning out 6 -1.
“I can lie, but when the team loses 4-1 at home, they have very few options and very little chance to qualify,” Koeman said.
