Barcelona take revenge on Athletic Bilbao and snatch the runner-up from Real Madrid (video)

Barcelona won a precious 2-1 victory over Athletic Bilbao in the match that brought them together on Sunday at the “Camp Nou”, in the 21st round of the Spanish Football League “LaLiga”.

The Catalan team scored a double, the Argentine Lionel Messi and the Frenchman Antoine Griezmann in the 20th and 74th minutes, while Barcelona’s only goal by Barcelona player Jordi Alba scored by mistake for his team in the 49th minute of the match.

With this victory, Barcelona avenged its loss to the Basque team in the final of the Spanish Super Cup, which brought them together on the 17th of this month.

Barcelona raised its score to 40 points and snatched second place from rivals Real Madrid, who are equal to points, but the Catalan team is superior by goal difference.

On the other hand, Athletic Bilbao stood at 24 points, 11th on the League table.
