The United Nations has expressed its concern about the latest developments in the case of Princess Latifa, daughter of Dubai’s ruler Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, after publishing a new video in which she accused her father of having detained her since she was prevented from fleeing in 2018.
The “BBC” quoted a spokesperson for the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, commenting on the matter, that the commission would raise the issue of Princess Latifa with the Emirates.
The spokesman confirmed that the UNHCR Working Group on the issue of arbitrary detention may open an investigation after analyzing Princess Latifa’s last video.
