Israeli raids continue Gaza strip Before the humanitarian truce entered into force, at a time when the Israeli occupation army admitted the killing of a unit commander in Golani Brigade In clashes with the Palestinian resistance in Gaza.
Several areas witnessed clashes between resistance factions and the occupation forces, including the Al-Saftawi area and the vicinity of the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood, north of Gaza City, in addition to clashes east of Al-Maghazi camp and Deir Al-Balah in the middle of the Strip.
The Israeli army announced the killing of a unit commander in its Golani Brigade during the ongoing fighting with the Palestinian resistance in the northern Gaza Strip.
Thus, the total recognized death toll of the occupation army rises to about 71 since the start of the Israeli ground incursion into the Gaza Strip on October 27, while the Palestinian resistance says that the real occupation losses are much greater than that.
Warplanes continue to bomb several areas in the Gaza Strip, including a raid on two houses on Al-Jalaa Street in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood, leaving martyrs and wounded.
The Ministry of Health in Gaza confirmed that the number of martyrs in the northern Gaza Strip had risen to 120 in one day, including dozens of missing persons and doctors, after an Israeli bombing targeted Al-Awda and Indonesian hospitals and ambulances at Kamal Adwan Hospital.
Night raids
The Israeli night raids also left dozens of martyrs, including children, in residential areas in Khan Yunis in the south, Deir al-Balah, and the Nuseirat and Bureij camps in central Gaza.
A medical source reported to Al Jazeera that 41 martyrs were killed in Israeli raids on inhabited homes in the central Gaza Strip last night. The source indicated that there are dozens missing after the raids, especially with the interruption of communications and the ongoing Israeli bombing.
Ambulance teams recovered a number of martyrs and wounded from under the rubble of the Yunus family home in the Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip. According to the testimony of one of the survivors, the occupation army targeted the house with a number of missiles, leading to its complete collapse.
In Bureij camp, the Israeli occupation forces targeted a residential square with a series of raids, resulting in the death and injury of two Palestinians. Residents of nearby areas rushed to the targeted locations in an attempt to extract the victims from under the rubble.
Residential neighborhoods in central Gaza were subjected to Israeli bombing, where 19 Palestinians were martyred, including children, and more than 40 others were injured in a bombing that targeted a house for the “Abu Shammas” family in Deir al-Balah, and the victims were transferred to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital.
In an audio statement, the director of Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza, Dr. Ahmed Al-Kahlot, announced the loss of control due to the large numbers of injured people, the absence of capabilities, and the exhaustion of medical materials and the hospital’s basic needs.
The State of Qatar announced the success of joint mediation efforts with Egypt and the United States between Israel and the Islamic Resistance Movement (agitation), as it resulted in reaching an agreement on a humanitarian truce in the Gaza Strip that will last for 4 days and can be extended, and the timing of its start will be announced within the next 24 hours.
The agreement includes the exchange of 50 civilian women and children prisoners in the Gaza Strip in the first phase, in exchange for the release of a number of Palestinian women and children detained in Israeli prisons, provided that the number of those released will be increased in later stages of implementing the agreement.
The truce will also allow the entry of a larger number of humanitarian convoys and relief aid, including fuel designated for humanitarian needs.
