The Belorussian news agency PLTA quoted the commander of the Belarusian Air Force and Air Defense, Brigadier General, Igor Golub, as saying that his forces are receiving modern “Pantsir-S” systems along with the battalions of the “S-400” anti-air missile system that will replace the “S-” systems 300 “for the air defense of the Belarusian army.
The brigadier general added that his forces intend to receive from Russia modern “Protevnik-G” and “Vostok” radars this year, and an agreement has been signed to supply a second batch of “Su-30SM” fighters as well as “Mi-35” strike helicopters. .
It is noteworthy that after the signing of the agreement to supply “S-400” systems, Belarus became the fourth country to buy “S-400 Triumph”, after China and Turkey, which obtained it. As for India, it has concluded an agreement to supply 5 regiments of this Russian weapon.
Talks are currently underway with Qatar, Morocco and Iraq regarding supplying the S-400 to them.
Regarding the Pantsir-S systems for missiles and anti-air guns, they play a role in protecting long-range systems from air strikes while performing combat missions as well as while in motion.
