Belgian Minister of Cooperation and Development Caroline Guenez said that Israel must be investigated for committing war crimes during its ongoing aggression against the Gaza Strip, and stressed that all evidence points to that.
The minister added that Israel is punishing innocent civilians in a retaliatory manner and there is a violation of the laws of war.
Guinness indicated that her country needs to study measures against Israel, including products and banning the entry of VIPs.
Previous statements by the Belgian minister last September about Israel’s violations against the Palestinians sparked a diplomatic crisis with Tel Aviv, according to what Belgian media reported.
The minister spoke at the time in a press interview about killing Palestinian children, wiping entire villages off the map, and destroying schools and neighborhoods funded by the European Union, all before the devastating war launched by Israel on the Gaza Strip.
For the 32nd day of the war on Gaza, Israel intensified its raids on the Strip, targeting residential neighborhoods, vital facilities, and hospitals. Which has led to the martyrdom of more than 10,000 people so far, most of them women and children.
Meanwhile, the resistance factions confronted the occupation army’s attempts to penetrate into the Gaza Strip, inflicting heavy losses on its ranks, in addition to more than 1,400 dead and 240 prisoners who were killed as a result of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood on the seventh of last October.
