US President Joe Biden said that Russia is trying to weaken NATO and the “European project.”
Biden added in his speech during the Munich Security Conference that Russia “wants to undermine the unity of the Atlantic”, noting that “upholding the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine is vital to Europe and the United States.”
Biden also claimed that Russia is behind cyber attacks in the United States and European countries, noting that the reaction to the moves is crucial to “protecting the common security” of the United States and its allies.
The American president pointed out that the challenge coming from Russia “differs from the challenge coming from China, but it is real.” He added that the discussion is not about the confrontation between the West and the East. We should not return to confrontation and cold war blocs. “
