The “Washington Post” newspaper reported that US President Joe Biden had chosen Chiquita Brooks Laure, the health official in the administration of former President Barack Obama, to head the Centers for Medicare and Services.

The White House announced on February 14 that Biden had nominated Victoria Nuland, who also worked in the Obama administration, for the position of Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs.
The White House published at the time, in a statement on its official website, the nominations sent to the Senate, noting that Rohit Chopra had been nominated for the position of Director of the Office of Consumer Financial Protection for a period of five years, and Rachel Leland Levine to be Assistant Secretary of Health and Human Services.
He noted that Biden nominated Brian B. McCune as Deputy Secretary of State for Administration and Resources, Julie Sue as Deputy Minister of Labor, Polly Ellen Tottenberg as Deputy Secretary of Transportation, and David Türk as Deputy Minister of Energy.
