A statement by the White House said that as part of the national strategy to confront the Corona pandemic, US President Joe Biden decided to distribute more than 25 million masks to communities severely affected by the epidemic.
The White House stated that the distribution of masks includes more than 1,300 community health centers across the country, in addition to 60,000 food stores and kitchens that provide food for the homeless, and it is expected that the masks will reach between 12 million and 15 million Americans.
At a time when the US authorities recommend that he wear a muzzle as a precaution that helps slow the spread of the Corona virus, the White House said that low-income American families cannot get it.
Biden had issued a decree mandating the wearing of medical masks and maintaining the rules of social distancing, after taking office last January.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) also issued an order to use face masks in almost all forms of public transportation.
The United States is the country most affected by the epidemic, with 502,681 deaths out of 28,261619 injuries, according to the Johns Hopkins University census.
