President Joe Biden said last week that he would urgently work with Congress to try to ban the sale of semi-automatic weapons, following the recent wave of mass shootings in the US. Although there are states like Florida that have a law that prohibits them, this does not occur at the federal level. Biden would like to pass such legislation before the Democrats lose their majority in the House of Representatives, in January 2023.
