The White House announced that US President Joe Biden will hold a virtual meeting with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on February 23 to discuss combating the Corona virus and climate change.
“The meeting will allow the two leaders to review joint efforts in areas of common interest, such as dealing with Covid-19, climate change, economic ties between our two countries, and the human ties that bind us,” White’s spokeswoman Jane Psaki said in a statement.
Psaki indicated that the meeting will be followed by meetings between various American officials and Canadian ministers, which will also be held via video technology, to discuss various bilateral and international issues.
This will be Biden’s first bilateral meeting since taking office in the United States on January 20.
