Biden’s team expresses its concern over the Pentagon’s decision to stop coordinating with it

On Friday, US President-elect Joe Biden’s team warned of the dangers arising from a lack of coordination with the Pentagon, accusing the Department of Defense of stopping briefing the team on its activities.

Biden spokesman Johannes Abraham said that the president-elect’s team is concerned after learning of the sudden suspension of the Defense Department’s meetings with the presidential transition team, who is preparing for Biden’s takeover from Donald Trump on the 20th of next month.

In response to the acting Secretary of Defense’s statement that the suspension of briefings was due to the current holiday period, Biden’s spokesman denied that there was consensus with the Pentagon to postpone the meetings until after the holidays.

The meetings between the Trump administration and the Biden team began a short time ago, after being delayed by Trump’s refusal to acknowledge Biden’s victory in the election.
