Within the reference index, most of the components ended the session in the green, with gains for 24 and losses for 11. The best performances were for Volaris shares, with 3.51%; Alsea, with 3.47%, and Megacable, with 3.17 percent.
The telecommunications giant America Movilof the Mexican tycoon Carlos Slimtrimmed the index’s gains due to its weighting, losing 1.44% before its quarterly results were released, with low market expectations.
The index remained in positive territory as an extension of its gains on Monday, when it rose 1.71 percent. Against a close of 45,443.35 points on Friday, it accumulates in two consecutive days of advance, a gain of 1.91 percent.
