BMV closes with strong progress; accumulates a gain of 14.34% in a streak of four positive weeks

Las stock markets of Mexico They rose strongly this Friday. Local stock indices jumped strongly, in line with their foreign peers, in an extension of yesterday’s advance. In this way, they linked their fourth consecutive week with profits.

the main index S&P/BMV IPC from Mexican stock exchange (BMV), which measures the 35 most traded shares in Mexico, rose 1.82% to 51,959.2 units. The FTSE BIVAfrom Institutional Stock Exchange (Biva), posted a gain of 1.68% to 1,083.51 points.

Within the benchmark, most components ended the day positive, with 28 in the green and seven in the red. The best performances were from Televisa, with 9.54%, and from the mining companies Grupo México and Peñoles, with 7.82 and 6.24%, respectively.

S&P/BMV IPC

In its fourth week of earnings, the S&P/BMV IPC accumulated an advance of 1.53% from a level of 51,173.75 units. In its four-week positive streak, the Mexican market reference index accumulates an advance of more than 6,500 points or 14.34 percent.

Annual inflation in the United States fell below 8% in October for the first time in eight months. Expectations of a moderation in the Federal Reserve’s interest rate hikes sent bonds and the dollar falling, raising risk appetite.
