BMV suspends trading of Unifin shares for not publishing its third quarter report

The Mexican stock exchange (BMV) suspended trading in the shares of Unifin Financiera as of this Tuesday because the company failed to publish its results report for the third quarter of 2022, reported the Mexican stock market.

Unifin reported this Monday to BMV that it was not going to publish its financial information corresponding to the third quarter of 2022 according to the terms established by the National Banking and Securities Commission (CNBV).

“This Stock Exchange, in compliance with the provisions of article 248, section I of the Securities Market Law and by provision 10.015.01 of its Internal Regulations, suspends, as of today, November 28, 2022, the listing of of the values ​​representing the social capital of Financial Union”, the BMV said in a notice.

On August 8 of this year, Unifin announced that it was not going to be able to pay its debt obligations to carry out a “strategic” restructuring. A few weeks ago he confirmed his entry into bankruptcy.

After the restructuring was announced, Unifin’s shares plummeted more than 90% in just two days, going from trading at 13.03 pesos to one peso each. At the close of Friday, November 25, Unifin shares were trading at 1.20 pesos each.
