American media reported that members of the security services found body parts at the site of the powerful explosion that rocked Nashville, Tennessee, on Friday.
The Associated Press, CNN and CBS quoted sources in the security services familiar with the investigation that human remains were found directly near the site of the explosion, indicating that the remains were sent to the forensic authority for appropriate analysis.
The sources added that it is not clear until now whether the remains belong to a person responsible for the explosion or to a victim who fell as a result of the accident.
Previously, local police officially said that they were not aware if there was any person inside the housing vehicle, which was the source of the explosion.
And Nashville, Tennessee, police announced, earlier Friday, that a powerful explosion occurred at 6:30 a.m. this morning, which falls on Christmas, resulting in light injuries to 3 people, who were taken to hospital.
The blast destroyed several other vehicles and damaged buildings, and black smoke billowed into the sky and was visible from miles away.
The police indicated that the explosion was caused by a housing vehicle and it was most likely a deliberate act, adding that law enforcement authorities closed the streets in the city center without revealing any possible motive.
