Boeing has recommended that airlines stop “Boeing 777” flights similar to the “United Airlines” plane, whose engine has recently burned out, until the Federal Aviation Administration issues instructions after the examination.
Boeing said it recommends “suspending 69 777s in service and 59 in storage, which are powered by Pratt & Whitney 112-4000 engines, until the Federal Aviation Administration determines the appropriate inspection protocol.”
The Federal Aviation Administration said it would issue emergency instructions requiring intensive inspections of Boeing 777s, which are powered by Pratt & Whitney 112 4000 engines.
United said earlier on Sunday that it had temporarily suspended all flights of its 24 Boeing 777s with Pratt & Whitney 4000 engines.
This action comes after the US Federal Aviation Administration announced that a United Airlines plane suffered a malfunction in the right engine shortly after it left Denver International Airport on its way to Honolulu last Saturday, which resulted in parts being scattered, but it returned safely to the airport. .
United Airlines said in a statement that there were no reports of injuries on board its flight number 328, which was carrying 231 passengers and a crew of ten.
