The Bolivian Presidency announced that President Louis Arce intends to receive the Russian “Sputnik V” vaccine against the Coronavirus, after the first batch of it arrived in the country.
“The president will receive the vaccine, and we count that he will receive one of the 6,000 doses that are expected to arrive this month,” the president’s spokesman, Jorge Richter, said on Thursday.

It is noteworthy that the Russian Direct Investment Fund agreed to supply the Russian vaccine to Bolivia in a sufficient quantity to vaccinate 2.6 million people, and the first batch of it is expected to arrive in Bolivia in late January.
It should be noted that Bolivia has recorded an increase in the number of people infected with Coronavirus since late last month.
And earlier this week, it was announced that former Bolivian President Evo Morales had tested positive for the Coronavirus.
