Bon Jovi Taps Springsteen for Star-Studded ‘Forever’ Album Project

Bon Jovi has announced a star-studded collaborative version of their 2024 album, Forever, featuring guest artists including Bruce Springsteen, Jelly Roll, Jason Isbell, Joe Elliott, and Avril Lavigne. The new album, titled Forever (Legendary Edition), is set for release on October 24.

This Friday, the band will release two tracks from the project: their collaboration with Bruce Springsteen on “Hollow Man” and a new song, “Red, White & Jersey.”

In a statement, frontman Jon Bon Jovi explained that the project was “borne out of necessity” following his well-documented vocal cord surgery and rehabilitation. “I was singing well enough in the studio for the recording, but the vocal demands and rigors of touring were still out of reach for me,” he said. “Without the ability to tour or promote an album we were all very proud of, I decided to call on some friends to help me in my time of need.”

He continued, “The result is an album with a new viewpoint and new spirit – a collaboration album that proves we all get by in this world with a little help from our friends. I can say with certainty that there is always something bigger than ME, and that’s WE.”

The band has not toured since 2022 due to Jon’s vocal issues, and it remains unclear when they will return to the road. “I just want to get back to two and a half hours a night, four nights a week, before I’m gonna go out there on the road for real,” he stated at the 2024 Pollstar Live! conference. “But I’m confident in my doctor.”

In other band news, drummer Tico Torres recently posted a video to social media to dispel rumors that he was retiring. “Musicians don’t retire, especially me,” he said. “Me and the boys… we’re still making music. All I can tell you is, don’t listen to what you read, it’s most likely bullshit.”
