Footage captured at the scene shows an entire wall collapsed, exposing the interiors of two bedrooms with beds hanging out of the wreckage onto a neighboring work site.
Windows, a wooden bed frame and white brick also collapsed into a pile of rubble next to the scene.
The two residents inside, a man and woman in their 80s, safely escaped the rubble with the help of Fire and Rescue NSW and Police Rescue through a back fence.
