Borussia Dortmund has raised doubts about the participation of young Norwegian star Erling Haaland against Augsburg, scheduled for next Saturday, as part of the seventh round of the German League competitions for the current season 2021-2022.
Halland was absent from participating with Borussia Dortmund, in the face of its host, Borussia Monchengladbach, in the last round of the Bundesliga, and he also missed the victory on Tuesday against Sporting Lisbon, with a goal for free, in the second round of the group stage of the Champions League.
Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc spoke about Haaland’s condition, in comments reported by “Sky Sports”, saying: “We hope that Haaland will catch up in Saturday’s match against Augsburg, and this is not excluded at the present time.”.
Zorc indicated that the final decision on the Norwegian star’s participation against Augsburg will be taken on Friday, or on Saturday morning on the day of the match.
Haaland is the top scorer in the German league this season with 7 goals, equal to the Polish star Robert Lewandowski, the Bayern Munich striker.

Erling Haaland received the award for the best striker in the Champions League for last season, before his team’s match yesterday against Sporting Lisbon in the second round of the group stage of the Champions League.
Haaland won the award after his brilliance with Borussia Dortmund and winning the Champions League top scorer title last season with 10 goals..
The young Norwegian star was on the radar of many major clubs in the current summer transfer season, but the high market value and salary prevented him from moving to any team so far, to continue the march with Dortmund during the current season.
