Bradley Beal is still in Washington, but not for lack of suitors. The guard of the capital franchise has been an established All-Star for years, something that together with the complicated moment that the Wizards have lived in recent seasons has made him live permanently on the list of rumors. It has not come out and it does not seem that it will do so in the near future. Beal has bet one more year for the only team of his career ignoring the siren songs.
«Almost in every game we play, someone tells me something. Takes you back to college. Which school is the right one? Which team is correct? You love the fact that people see your game and want to play with you, but it’s also difficult in part because you have no idea what you want to do, “says the guard Kevin O’Conner of The Ringer.
The truth is that Beal’s status in the League is unbeatable. He has been the second leading scorer for two seasons, and analysts see him as a perfect match for almost any star. The problem for him is that the prospect of joining another great player seems to be set to change its scene despite his efforts to make it happen in Washington.
“A lot of people seem to think that DC is a small market, but I try to make them understand that it is a big market. It makes that part of recruiting and hiring someone more difficult, “he admits.
At 28 years old, he still has several high-level campaigns ahead of him, but not for that reason he is calm letting time pass.In the summer of 2022 his contract ends and the time will come to decide. A contract that could be in five years and 242 million dollars awaits him at the Wizards, but that crazy number may not be enough. Everything can depend on what the team achieves in this newly started course.
