The Brazilian Ministry of Health announced an agreement with Russia to supply Brazil with the Russian “Sputnik V” vaccine against Corona, and that Brazil would start producing it on its soil at a later time.
The ministry said on “Twitter”: “The Ministry of Health signed a contract on March 12, to purchase the” Sputnik V “vaccine through the Brazilian laboratory.”
The ministry indicated that “it is expected that the doses will be delivered in April and June.”
For its part, the Brazilian pharmaceutical company notified the country’s Ministry of Health of its intention to produce the Russian vaccine in Brazil.
Brazil, which ranks third in the world after the United States and India, recorded about 11 million and 206 thousand cases of corona, and 270 thousand deaths, to come second in terms of the number of deaths from the virus globally.
