The Brazilian Ministry of Health announced, on Monday evening, that it had recorded 32,321 cases and 987 new deaths from the Corona virus, which causes the “Covid-19” infection.
The Ministry stated, in a daily statistics, that the number of registered infections with Coronavirus “Covid-19” in the country during the past 24 hours increased by 32,321, compared to 69609 Sunday, bringing the total number to 11051665 cases, including 9782320 cure.
The ministry also stated that it had detected 987 new deaths due to the disease, compared to 1,555 Sunday, bringing the death toll from the pandemic in the country to the level of 266,398 people, with a lethality rate of 2.4%.
The indicators of the Corona virus in many countries, including Brazil, are witnessing a significant decline during the weekend and Mondays for bureaucratic reasons.
Brazil recorded the second largest death toll from the virus in the world after the United States, and the third highest number of infections after the United States and India.
However, the health authorities confirmed that the official statistics may differ significantly from the real numbers, because the tests did not include all the injured.
